Job Summary:

The Campus BSN Program Manager coordinates all activities associated with the campus-based undergraduate pre-licensure baccalaureate nursing program to ensure the successful completion of courses and the program as established by the Undergraduate Nursing Department and its faculty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Placement Coordination:

  • Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are effective and efficient, department assets are safeguarded, department financial information is reliable, and the department complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with partner hospitals and site coordinators to prepare and manage clinical placements for BSN students, including organizing clinical days and units.
  • Coordinate orientations for students and instructors, representing the College of Nursing and Health Innovation during program and university events.
  • Conduct site visits to support Clinical Instructors and ensure clinical facilities meet training needs, while maintaining clinical placement databases.
  • Seek new clinical facility partnerships and initiate affiliation agreements, meeting regularly with faculty to address placement needs.

Program Administration:
  • Assist in coordinating the interview process for prospective campus-based Clinical Faculty in collaboration with campus-based Lead Teachers and relevant team members.
  • Participate in weekly Program Management Work Group Meetings to discuss ongoing initiatives and improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and systems for the campus-based program, ensuring alignment with existing BSN program policies and procedures.
  • CONHI liaison for flu clinics and other community events.
    • Other events such as the Career Fair and Homecoming to facilitate student engagement.
  • ANSA faculty advisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • Active unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program Management experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
  • Exercise professional judgment.
  • Professional interpersonal skills.
