Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Senior Program Manager to lead and drive critical US Space Force (USSF) programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, talented team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

The Senior Program Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and management of USSF programs, including comprehensive tracking and mitigation of technical and programmatic risks, requirements management, and the day-to-day control of cost, schedule, and performance. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results, driving both strategic initiatives and operational projects.

In this leadership capacity, the Program Manager will guide and inspire a technical workforce, acting as the key liaison between stakeholders and project teams. Responsibilities include defining project phases, assessing technical requirements at each stage, and ensuring alignment with overarching program goals. The Senior Program Manager will ensure that all projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and mission objectives, while fostering collaboration across teams and external partners.

By championing effective processes and solutions, this individual will ensure technical excellence, aligning project outcomes with organizational values to meet the mission-critical needs of the USSF.

Compensation Minimum: $90,000

Compensation Maximum: $110,000

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

  • Hold a current Active Secret clearance
  • 8+years of experience in Program Management
  • Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods
  • Adheres to strict security constraints meeting customer requirements
  • Implement acquisition processes to meet program milestones
  • Review and develop implementation plans that include technical analysis meeting mission objectives
  • Provide technical planning and strategic thinking across space enterprise portfolio
  • Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing technologies
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Organize and coordinate high-visibility conferences, visits, and events.
  • Support and coordination of distinguished visitors
  • Support and coordination of yearly AMOS Conference and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Conference
  • Support and coordination of Senior Steer Group Meetings
  • Manage data base of site stakeholders
Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Applied Physics, Cybersecurity, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
  • Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • DoD experience preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
