Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Travel Project Manager who has a construction background. This person will be responsible for multi-million-dollar industrial facilities through out the country. Your home base will be in Hartford CT but you can live in any state as the position is 90% Travel and 10% in CT. If your an engineer or project manager and have 5-10 years of experience in this line of work, and would love to see the country while working please apply right away. This is not a remote or Hybrid position, you are required to be onsite.

What will you be doing?

• Rotate between the home office and the jobsite
• Oversee multi-million-dollar industrial projects
• Manage the technical well-being of the project from the proposal stage through engineering design, construction, and performance testing
• Engineering/design documents utilizing the engineering staff and subcontracted Engineers
• Oversea Engineers development of specifications, plant design, calculations, and engineering solutions for the project
• Read and understand project requirements for proposal activities
• Provide review comments for customer specifications, plans
• Review calculations for equipment sizing, heat balances, pipe sizing, auxiliary load estimate
• Assist with bid evaluations and vendor technical selection to support the estimate
• Project Execution Job Responsibilities
• Read and understand project requirements for project execution, including Contract documents, project scope book, technical plans, and specifications
• Ensure that drawings and specifications are reviewed, and comments are provided in a timely manner to support the project schedule
• Ensure that vendor deliverables are reviewed
• Review and signoff invoices for Vendor payments
• Review technical bid evaluations in support of the equipment procurement process
• Review conformed specifications as required to purchase from selected equipment supplier
• Ensure field issues that arise during installation and commissioning are addressed in a timely manner to support the project schedule
• Conduct performance testing to verify that the project performance guarantees are met

Qualification

• Degree in Engineering is required
• PE License is required
• At least 5-8 years of experience with development, design, or engineering of industrial facilities
• Ability to manage and drive a Team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Well organized and able to meet strict deadlines
• Possess strong problem-solving skills
• Adept at managing a multi-disciplinary team
