JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Documentation- Documents clinical activities, importantly proper and accurate planning reports, as well as records proper billing codes with respect to dosimetry and treatment planning.

Treatment Planning- Uses the treatment planning system to optimize Intensity Modulated Proton therapy (IMPT) and, to a much lesser degree, photon Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) plans, particularly for insurance approval. Demonstrates advanced skill at planning system operation, including optimization, contouring, dose calculation and plan reporting. Communicates actively with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists throughout plan creation and approval process. Capable of training additional staff in all treatment planning related activities.

Planning and Imaging Data Management- Aggregates, imports and registers simulation imaging, ancillary imaging and prior radiation records. Communicates effectively with other hospitals and imaging centers. Participates in clinical trial data management and submission.

Other duties- The Medical Physics group, having a diverse portfolio of clinical and research roles, may require the dosimetrist to assist in other clinical, technical or research duties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree OR degree and experience permitting CMD eligibility
- 0+years of proton therapy experience in related job discipline
