Job Overview
Weatherford is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RCD/MPD Field Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks and jobs for a variety of products and services. The RCD/MPD Field Specialist will work closely with clients, providing technical expertise and ensuring superior service quality.
Responsibilities
• Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, safety, security, and compliance
• Participate in daily operations, safety meetings, and job hazard analysis
• Monitor and analyze data to recommend services and solutions
• Perform job planning, preparation, mobilization, and job execution
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
• Effectively manage inventory and supplies at the well site
• Contribute to equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis
• Mentor and lead field operation crew members (for senior-level roles)
• Act as a technical advisor to management (for senior-level roles)
• Manage the installation of complex equipment and services in the field (for senior-level roles)
Requirements
• 1 - 2 ½ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics
• Strong mathematical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Physically capable of undertaking the tasks required for the role
• Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery
• Mathematical reasoning and quality control analysis skills
Education
• High School Diploma is required. A Technical Certificate from an accredited Technical/Vocational School is preferred.
Certifications
• Industry-relevant certifications are an advantage
