St. Norbert College

St. Norbert College, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Registrar. The position provides leadership for the team and is responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining, and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines. The position is expected to assess data and provide institutional insights that impact student enrollment, retention strategies, and student success efforts. This role is also instrumental in leading the adoption and implementation of business processes and technologies to enhance service quality as well as operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Oversight: Provide leadership in the administration of academic policies, systems implementation, and student records management, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including FERPA and NCAA rules.

• Team & Process Management: Lead, mentor, and train the Registrar's Office team, manage the academic calendar, course catalog, office budget, and ensure accurate enrollment reporting to national systems.

• Academic Records: Oversee and certify all student records related to registration, degree completion, and academic progress, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

• Operational Coordination: Manage space utilization, Commencement planning, and serve on college committees and task forces, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with institutional goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred in Higher Education, College Student Personnel or a related field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in a registrar's office or related office within higher education (preferred). 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of student record management and "best practices" in registration.

• Proven leadership and managerial skills, especially in collaborating with multiple offices to improve enrollment, retention and student satisfaction.

• Comprehensive knowledge of existing and pending legislation governing higher education policy.

• Demonstrated expertise in the use of student data management information systems to successfully deliver registration services. Banner experience desired.

• Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps) and ability to learn upgrades and new programs as needed.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff, and contributing to a culture of inclusion and continual improvement.
