Job Title:Research Administration Management AssociateDepartment:EHE | Crane Center for Early Childhood

Research Administration Management Associate will be hired to manage day-to-day project logistics on a five-year project focused on socioecological factors impacting sleep health in toddlers. Incumbent will be responsible for planning and supervising recruitment and data collection, coordinating all day-to-day project logistics, and managing project communications within the team at OSU, the collaborating study team at the University of Cincinnati,participants and recruitment site personnel, as well as the following responsibilities: leads and assesses quality of all fieldwork, oversees human subject reports and compliance needs, and supervises undergraduate research assistants. The incumbent will coordinate the management and retention of research data, administration of both caregiver and child measures and assessments, and conduct data management tasks. The incumbent assists with the supervision of Graduate Associates, providing guidance on all data collection protocols (e.g. assessments and observations) and tracking towards project timelines and goals. The incumbent schedules, manages, and conducts data collection efforts (e.g., child assessments, caregiver surveys and observations) and oversees/conducts any necessary coding on an ongoing basis. The work involves regular travel to recruitment sites and participants' homes for data collection. The incumbent manages IRB and human subjects' activities (e.g., consent), including: scheduling, planning, and delivery of recruitment, and implementation activities. The incumbent will handle the ordering and distributing of project materials, schedule, plan, and lead weekly project planning meetings and other meetings as assigned. The incumbent is expected to work closely with the PI and other investigators at both sites, as well as the project coordinator of the collaborating study team at University of Cincinnati to meet project goals and deliverables. Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

Bachelor's level degree, or equivalent years of experience; Experience or demonstrated interest in project coordination; Prior supervisory experience; Strong written & oral communications. Prior experience working with families and children, Knowledge of desktop computing and Microsoft Office suite products; experience working collaboratively with others.

Desired Experience:

Prior experience with project management; Experience managing a multi-year federally funded grant. Knowledgeable of research practices, including experience with human subjects' projects.; experience in field of early childhood research. Experience working with families and children from diverse backgrounds.

Manage day-to-day project logistics and coordinate among cross-site project personnel. Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate research assistants. Provides support to Principal Investigator and other key project staff. Sets project timelines with measurable short- and long- term goals. Assures adequate budget control. Oversees creation of project deliverables per award agreement. Scheduling and planning project meetings. Makes recommendations and provides support to PI for research, presentations, and publications. Other duties as assigned.

Maintains professional standards. Develops and administers policies. Ordering and distributing project materials. Overseeing/conducting any necessary coding on an ongoing basis. Managing project communications with participants, staff, and investigators.


The Target Hiring Range for this position is $43,900 - $57,750

As of December 29, 2024 this position will be changing to Biweekly/Non-Exempt
