Duties: This Research Specialist A/B position will be involved with adoptive T-cell immunotherapy research. He/she will primarily perform a number of basic and advanced cellular and molecular techniques support of cell signaling studies. These techniques include cell culture, cell transfection, flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, immunoprecipitation and RQ-PCR. Will work under supervisor with a 1-2 week planning scope. Additional duties will include assisting in the performance of murine xenograft studies. Position will assist with management of supplies and equipment maintenance for the laboratory. The Research Specialist A position will work under the supervision of a senior lab member.
Research Specialist B
This position will perform the duties listed for the Research Specialist A but is expected to work independently in the lab and to mentor students and junior staff. The Research Specialist B will have a 2-4 week research planning scope.
Qualifications: Research Specialist A
A Bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of experience with coursework in biology- or chemistry-related disciplines or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Applicant should be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Excel and Access (or another database application).
Research Specialist B
A Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Applicant should be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Excel and Access (or another database application). Must be able to work independently.
