Our Team Clinicians gain comprehensive clinical experience working under experienced, independently licensed clinicians. The Respite Clinical Specialist provides clinical assessment, risk/safety planning and treatment planning for onsite and community respite clients. Leads development of short-term comprehensive recovery-based services that focus on engagement/motivational interviewing, harm reduction, coping skills and resource gathering. Works with the site manager and program director to conduct intakes and discharge planning for all clients. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team and coordinates/evaluates program services.

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully at coordinating care across a continuum of care required
  • Must demonstrate the following characteristics: Flexibility with schedule, ability to function as a team member in assessing the needs of individuals, the ability to contribute in the development of policies and procedures, creativity and resourcefulness in seeking pathways that will provide support to the program
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn to use an electronic health record
  • Bilingual skills and/or experience with multicultural populations preferred

Required Experience
  • Master's in Psychology, Social Work or related field required. License preferred.
  • Must have at least 2 years' experience with behavioral health
  • Familiarity with principles of psychiatric recovery required
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle to provide transportation of consumers
