*** Pay range from $21.80 to $28.70. 2nd shift is eligible for $1/hr shift premium***.
Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating weekend schedule and rotating day off during weekdays. 10PM and 6AM.
Functions:
- To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
- Receive training as required
- Perform various positions as required/assigned
- Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment
- Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods
- Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
- Train maintenance techs on equipment
- Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance
- Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant
DescriptionThis position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
TasksPerform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the feed mill. Must be willing to learn the feed production process and the flow of feed from receiving to load out. Must be willing to climb on tall structures and do light welding, pipe fitting, and electrical work. Must be willing to be on call 24 hours per day/7 days per week in order to help monitor and prevent issues that can cause downtime. This position will be exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid or dusty conditions. This position will require walking, bending, standing and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis. **Must be able to read invoices, packing slips, records of materials, etc.** Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
Requirements** 6 months industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education.
