Purpose of Job:
Manage, train and develop delivery drivers as specified by location. (Route Service Managers, NAC Specialists and Hot Shot drivers).
Job Components:
- Manage, train and develop delivery drivers
- Partner with site leadership in establishing and communicating performance metrics, and ensure the team is meeting or exceeding these goals.
- Prepare and distribute reports to drivers.
- Maintain knowledge of operation's overall financial results and how results are impacted by the team.
- Ensure drivers are compliant with all DOT and safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure vehicle fleet is maintained and serviced timely and properly.
- Maintain regular contact with dealers to obtain feedback on the quality of service received and work with all stakeholders to address/correct deficiencies
- Fill in for drivers when needed.
- Help load, unload, and count trucks as needed.
- Maintain a weekly ride-along schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school graduate (or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years sales, customer service and delivery experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Prior sales management experience highly desirable
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of all relevant DOT and safety rules and regulations is required.
- Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Depending on location, may be required to cover routes requiring overnight stops
- Be able to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Must have and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must successfully complete a post-offer criminal background check and drug test prior to beginning work.

- Works under limited supervision
- Uses frequent independent judgment when making decisions.
- Manages two or more Team Members
- Accountable for sales growth within the distributorship.
Work Environment:
- Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
