Job Description:


Budget Title: Staff Associate (SL-4)


Salary: Commensurate with experience (full-time, temporary)


The Project Director will report to Binghamton University Community Schools Executive Director. The primary role will be to lead the Mental Health Service Project in Chenango County overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation ensuring the deliverables and projected outcomes are met. This position will primarily focus on the Chenango County area but will also involve work in Broome County, under Binghamton University Community Schools.


The Project Director will:


  • Lead Empowering Rural Communities: Promoting mental health, equity, and wellbeing through a university-assisted community schools approach initiative:
    • Understand the proposal and deliverables associated with the proposal
    • Operational tasks and staff assignments to reach outlined timeline and outcomes of the proposal
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as institutional policies
    • Develop communication plan to keep partners and staff informed
    • Manage reports and presentations associated with the initiative
  • Supervise Community School Coordinators:
    • Lead hiring and onboarding of Community School Coordinators
    • Train and supervise development of social work intern curriculum
    • Meet regularly to provide guidance and manage performance
    • Provide annual evaluations
  • Guide evaluation and data collection:
    • Meet regularly with evaluators to review evaluation plan
    • Support data collection
    • Disseminate findings
  • Budget management:
    • Understand project budget
    • Work with Budget and Contracts Specialist to map out program and funding needs
    • Lead decisions associated with allocation of funds
  • Support Recruitment of Social Work Interns:
    • Collaborate with the BUCS team to disseminate recruitment materials to potential social work interns
    • Provide BUCS Director of Strategic Partnerships with number of social work interns needed for the School Mental Health Projects
    • Support BUCS Director of Strategic Partnerships with the interview and placement process
    • Facilitate outreach and onboarding for accepted social work interns


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in human services, counseling or social work
  • 5 years of experience supervising staff and/or college interns
  • Experience with managing and reporting for federal and/or state grants

Preferred:


  • Master's degree in social work or related field or Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) degree
  • Understanding of child protective services and reporting
  • Experience working with PK - 12 education
