Are you a highly motivated and independent Scientist with a background in Cellular Therapy, Immunology, and/or Immune-Oncology? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the advancement of innovative Cell Therapy products. This role involves designing and conducting laboratory experiments, developing methodology, and generating and interpreting scientific data in a highly collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

As a Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting hands-on culturing, expanding, and banking of primary immune cells and tumor cell lines. You will support in vitro efforts towards target cells and immune effector cells engineering, including lentiviral transduction, electroporation-mediated transfection. You will also perform multi-color flow cytometry analysis to evaluate effector/target populations, phenotype and function. Additionally, you will contribute to experimental plans and designs, assess and report data with high integrity, and work collaboratively with project managers to ensure efficient relay of information.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • MS in a relevant scientific field and minimum of 3 years of research experience in molecular and cellular biology of T lymphocytes, cytokine signaling, cancer biology, tumor microenvironment or BS in a relevant scientific field and 3- 5 years of research experience in molecular and cellular biology of T lymphocytes, cytokine signaling, cancer biology, tumor microenvironment
  • Hands-on experience in the cell culture of established cell lines and primary human immune cells
  • Hands-on experience with T-cell functional assays including in vitro cytotoxicity assays, proliferation, cytokine measurement.
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry experiment design, acquisition, and analysis

Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Previous experience in the development of CAR-T cells, TCR-T cells
  • Familiarity with gene editing techniques (e.g.CRISPR/Cas, viral engineering, base editing)
  • Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

About the Waltham Site

Our Waltham, Massachusetts facility develops life changing small-molecule research in North America, with innovative laboratories at the Gatehouse Park BioHub, just west of the city center.
