Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute assays for potency testing. Multiple analytical platforms will be employed including ELISA and other plate-based platforms.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and trend assay performance.
  • Execute test methods in support of Analytical Development activities.
  • Perform statistical analysis on generated data.
  • Generate data figures and present findings at team meetings.
  • Manage raw data trackers for assay results.
  • Establish reference standard materials as required to support assay validation.
  • Establish a critical reagent management system for assay specific materials and controls.
  • Perform routine cell culture to support assay development activities
  • Maintain excellent documentation (e.g., electronic lab notebook and test forms).
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
  • Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years')
  • OR Masters degree
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Industry experience in the cell and gene therapy space.
  • Experience with sample management and ELN/LIMS systems.
  • Hands-on experience working with cell cultures, including proficiency in aseptic technique.
  • Experience with a variety of biology lab equipment (e.g., multi-channel pipettes, centrifuge, microscope, plate reader, plate washer, flow cytometer).
  • Good organizational habits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and GraphPad Prism or relevant figure building software.
  • Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.

Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
