Scrum Master-Bellevue
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This role is responsible for guiding teams on standard Scrum and Agile practices to become self-organizing, facilitating the Teams Release Cycle, and communicating with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive effective scrum ceremonies including daily standup, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective.
• Shield teams from outside distractions and advocate for the team with regard to impediments and blocking issues.
• Provide Agile coaching that helps to maintain team morale and effectiveness.
• Maintain and document development team processes.
• Coordinate with peers and partners to ensure adherence to product management lifecycle and delivery standards.
• Provide Agile KPI status reports to the teams, management and business stakeholders.
• Maintain clear communications across accountable teams and with stakeholders regarding release status.
• Ensure teams adhere to required DevOps practices and procedures regarding the release cycle.
• Assist in ensuring product teams follow defect, bug fix and hot fix procedures.
• Consult with team members, subject matter experts, and technical leads concerning product issues and functional specifications.
• Seek out and listen to feedback from the development team; provide regular contributions during retrospectives based on feedback that will strengthen team and delivery effectiveness.
• Support the team and organizational needs based on project directives, annual operating plans, and strategic priorities.
• Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
• Incorporates AAA's vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA's vision mission and values.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This job does not have supervisory responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree (BA) in business, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years' Scrum Master experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience in Travel, Automotive, or Membership-based organizations
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Scrum Master certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scaled Agile Framework
• Ability to facilitate teams
• Ability to focus on clarity and transparency
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely in an engaging team environment
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and improvements in Agile methodology and frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Highly effective facilitation and project management skill sets.
• Experience successfully collaborating professionally and diplomatically with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to establish, nurture, and optimize key internal and external partnerships and influence organizational change.
SALARY: The salary range for this role is $86,300 - $105,725 and is based on experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
