JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review and manage tenant billings, adjustments, and cash receipt batches, ensuring accurate posting and maintenance of property cash balances.
* Oversee large accounts payable disbursements and assist in processing weekly check-run reports.
* Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and review the monthly posting of the Rent Roll, ensuring data accuracy.
* Prepare financial statements and monthly reporting packages, ensuring all supporting schedules align with general ledger and income statements.
* Manage and review prior year CAM and real estate tax escalation reconciliations, assisting with audit inquiries as needed.
* Calculate owner distributions, management fees, and ensure timely payments of mortgages and property taxes.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred, with a minimum of 4+ years of fee-based property management accounting experience.
* Proficiency in real estate accounting software (preferably MRI and/or Yardi) and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
* Strong knowledge of financial terms, GAAP principles, and familiarity with budget reporting and operating expense budgeting processes.
* Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality in all communications.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to effectively liaise with clients, auditors, and internal team members.
