POSITION SUMMARY

Zoetis, the leading animal health company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, ERP Delivery. This role is pivotal to the success and growth of Zoetis. This position is integral in shaping the strategic direction of ERP, ensuring they align with the company's overall business objectives and growth ambitions as well as running efficient day to day business operations. By acting as a bridge between executive stakeholders and the technical team, the Senior Delivery Leader ensures that the product strategy and roadmaps are executed efficiently and effectively, delivering high-quality, compliant, and validated solutions that enhance our business operations. Additionally, identifying benefits targets, monitoring benefites delivery, management of ERP change budgets, fostering team development, and driving innovation across all product groups in the ERP space is crucial for maintaining financial control, operational efficiency, and a competitive edge in the market. This role not only optimizes current processes but also anticipates future needs, unlocking value and supporting Zoetis' mission to improve animal health and well-being.

As a senior leader, it will be your role to build a world class team capable of delivering the global ambition for Zoetis. This includes the leadership of program delivery SAP teams globally, staff development, and fostering a collaborative work environment of experts across your domain. Within this, you will be accountable for delivery of the overall staffing models to deliver against the overall souring model fro Zoetis Digital and Tech to include both internal roles, use of external third party consultants and management of third party service providers as part of your extended team.

The Senior Director, ERP Delivery will be a key member of the ERP Leadership Team and help set direction for the use of ERP solutions to meet the company's growth ambitions. You will be expected to significantly contribute to the strategic vision and operational excellent of our business. This entails not only leading your team but participating in high-level decision making proceses that will help shape the future of Zoetis. This will be done through collaboration across senior leaders in our business to ensure ERP initiatives are aligned with the company's broader goals and objectives. You will be expected to champion cross function collaboration along with championing best practices promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This position will:

Leading large, complex and cross-functional programs while providing strategic direction to stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Proactively manage changes in scope, schedule, resources, and budget for all portfolio projects and enhancements. Establish and manage resource capacity planning process in collaboration with Product leaders including tracking budget, forecast and accruals defined as part of Global PMO organization. Identify any issues/risks to portfolio/program/project success and develop mitigation plans to manage them throughout the development lifecycle. Designing, developing, and managing program/project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements Delivery of DTAP ERP Initiatives on value, time and budget. Establish process for portfolio review with IT Business partner and actively manage required trade-offs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as the primary liaison between ZTD and executive leaders, ensuring alignment of SAP initiatives with business objectives in coordination with Senior Product Directors across the function.

Facilitate regular updates and strategic discussions with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

SAP Portfolio Management:

  • Lead a team to develop a framework for assessing value for various SAP initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy a review board to review various SAP initiatives in the pipeline to ensure that the organization is prioritizing the programs per the value.

Perform value assessment post program implementation.

Ensure the roadmap includes the integration of across all SAP modules as well as SAP S/4HANA as part of the NextGen ERP Program.

Lead the delivery of changes and enhancements for the SAP strategy, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.

Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.

Ensure solutions are compliant with regulatory requirements and validated according to industry standards.

Ensure all financial controls and compliance measures are met within the SAP environment.

Drive business alignment across project lifecycle to drive maximum value from the program.

Implement and manage DevOps practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the SAP function utilizing both COE and Product team resources to deliver change.

Implement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for all SAP modules.

Develop and manage the budget for the SAP products, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. Continuously identify opportunity to reduce the cost of change in our environment.

Track financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Ensure financial controls are maintained and align with Zoetis' financial policies and procedures.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the SAP function, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the SAP delivery capability.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project management SAP professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans for team members.

Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, setting a positive example for the team through ethical behavior, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect within the team and across the organization.

Ensure team members have the necessary skills, training, and resources to succeed in their roles.

Design innovative solutions to address business needs and unlock value within Zoetis' financial operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are integrated, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Leverage SAP's capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings.

Serve as a key member of the ERP Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction and governance of ERP solutions at Zoetis.

Help set the direction for the use of ERP solutions to meet the company's growth ambitions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior program delivery role focused on SAP systems implementation.

Proven experience in managing executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.

Experience delivering compliant and validated solutions in regulated industries.

Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of SAP delivery models with 15 years of proven experience.
    • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and tools.
    • Experience with budgeting and financial management for IT projects.
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial controls in the SAP environment.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This role will require occasional weekend working to meet customer needs for minimizing business impact of change. Expected travel between 20-50% for this role depending upon project demands.
