Location:

The Senior Sourcing Manager - Semiconductor Materials position is located in Allentown, PA and is a hybrid arrangement (3 days on-site and 2 days remote). Approximately 25% domestic and international travel are required to meet business needs.

Your Role:

The Senior Sourcing Manager for Semiconductor Materials will play a critical role in developing, negotiating, and managing supply arrangements that provide a competitive edge. This position focuses on cost savings and supply security while identifying new sourcing opportunities from non-traditional suppliers globally across various business units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to influence without direct authority. Self-motivation, prioritization, and initiative are essential, along with excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, negotiation expertise, and conflict resolution abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of global sourcing strategies for semiconductor materials, negotiating contracts and sourcing solutions across diverse supplier and production locations.
  • Leverage AI and modern digital tools to enhance sourcing strategies, streamline procurement processes, and drive data-driven decision-making, ensuring efficiency and innovation in supplier management and contract negotiations.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the materials and categories supported, including supply, process, and value chains, to formulate high-level strategies.
  • Monitor global market conditions and business drivers to enhance leverage and mitigate risks.
  • Challenge conventional approaches to create innovative and cost-effective sourcing options that deliver a competitive advantage.
  • Address sourcing complexities arising from market fluctuations and energy conditions affecting raw material prices.
  • Guide regional and global supply strategies, collaborating with multifunctional teams in manufacturing, technology, and supply chain.
  • Evaluate technical specifications and business inputs, especially when purchasing options are limited.
  • Build and manage key supplier relationships within the Semiconductor Materials industry to align with business objectives.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities to support R&D initiatives across business platforms.
  • Oversee supplier performance and maintain effective communication within the supplier's organization.
  • Contract Size: Up to $80MM

Who you are:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience (typically >8 years).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, purchasing, or a commercially-oriented role involving complex negotiations and global strategy development.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically (25%).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the semiconductor market.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships, establishing credibility and trust with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated success in previous procurement and/or sales roles.
