Position: Senior Quality Engineer
Job Location: 805 Moberly Lane, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Supports code development for eCommerce projects by participating in project team meetings to develop project plans; reviewing project requirements to determine coding needs; providing insight to software developers regarding project quality requirements; and providing guidance regarding code development to ensure testability and reliability. Performs quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and software by collaborating with project teams to establish test cases and requirements; writing test cases (for example, white, gray, or black box) and system test scenarios in accordance with project requirements and established standards; clarifying and updating test cases; obtaining test case approval from the project team; applying test case instructions to products under testing; executing test cases; evaluating results against expected results; and updating project teams regarding results and needed fixes. Participates in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; assisting in the writing and developing of code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and ensuring on-time delivery and handoffs. Develops software quality assurance (SQA) project plans by determining project scope and level-of-effort (LOE) estimates; determining data and environmental requirements; identifying dependencies and risks; identifying necessary resources (for example, staff, equipment); and outlining quality assurance deliverables and deadlines. Provides solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; developing unit testing plans to test code; developing testing requirements based on code functionality; analyzing testing results to determine needed fixes; evaluating errors to identify trends; performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; querying application logs and databases and checking configuration files to troubleshoot issues encountered during testing; resolving code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in quality engineering or related experience; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in quality engineering or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Leading testing of complex projects from inception to completion and in Agile STLC software; Building test suites using Appium, Cucumber, or Selenium etc.; Testing in store customer facing mobile applications with multimillion user base; Owning test strategy, creating test plans and executing end to end functional and integration tests to certify Mobile App / front-end deployments; Testing instore retail hardware; Testing Store Associate facing Mobile Applications in the context of Retail / Point of Sale Applications; Debugging, troubleshooting, and critical thinking; Integrating with identity and access management modules; Executing independently and own the quality gate for releases and increasing foot-print of automated test coverage; Testing Cloud powered transaction processing systems; Integrating with fraud detection engines; Coordinating testing effort with geographically dispersed teams; Testing payment gateways and payment card instruments - mobile & wired; Testing different types of scanners -Infra red, camera, handheld- mobile & wired; Testing firmware updates; Spear heading in store pilot testing; Brick & mortar instore testing and ecommerce solutions; Integration and testing frontend & infrastructure components; and Testing Azure backend integration.
