The Senior Sales Support Consultant is a lead in Americas North for Retail and Small Core Sales Strategy. The incumbent will serve as a market specialist and subject matter expert for Construction Industries (CI) strategic Retail and Small Core Aftermarket solution development. They will identify and prioritize top lost opportunity areas in Retail and Small Core and drive solution development through the Construction Industries Service Division (CISD) Core Services organization. This person will also act as the lead resource for the sales execution support for Retail-Area Sales Representatives in the Eastern US region to drive Retail and Small Core Aftermarket Parts growth and implementation of new integrated retail services. The Senior Sales Support Consultant is a key role on the Retail team and maintains a full spectrum lens of retail initiatives throughout the Eastern region.
What You Will Do:
- A key role of this assignment is to drive Retail and Small Core Sales initiatives and regionalize the Go-to-Market plans by collaborating with key partners throughout the enterprise (Retail Sales Reps, CISD Services Development team, Cat Digital, Cat Financial as needed).
- Identify "Moments that Matter" and gather on VOC/ VOD/ VOB and data insights to Define CI Retail Customer Requirements for highest areas of lost retail opportunity in the East
- Work through key partners to Pilot Compelling Integrated Services Offerings relevant to CI Retail and Small Core customer needs in the East
- Regionalize central Go-To-Market framework consisting of definition of winning, execution plan & preparation, marcomm, training and governance
- Help Monitor priority Eastern dealer's Retail and Small Core SGPs and implementation of the Winning Recipe and support R-ASRs in the field as needed to support Retail and Small Core Aftermarket Parts growth.
- Own Retail Sales Variance strategy and quarterly retail campaign strategy and execution for the East
What You Will Have: - Customer Focus: Extensive experience working with the dealer marketing and sales operations processes
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with Aftermarket parts and service offerings or developing GTM for products or services
- Effective Communications: Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations. Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences
- Strong project leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills and organizational skills- ability to lead multiple initiative simultaneously
Top Candidates Will Also Have: - Prior background working with the retail customer base
- Ability to create/enable behavioral changes in organizations and motivating others inside and outside the Caterpillar to improve performance.
- Ability to work independently, innovate and deliver results
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively based on the audience.
Additional Information: - Preferred Locations: Peoria, IL or Cary, NC.
- Additional locations may be considered: Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX
- Travel required up to 40% of time in Americas North- Eastern Region
- Caterpillar operates in a hybrid environment, requiring 3 days per week of onsite work
