SUMMARY

(Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified (Senior Systems Analyst for (the F-15 EAIS contract at Robins AFB, GA).
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Determining the computing needs of a client and translating them into system specifications
  • Working with Customers, Functional Analysts, PL-SQL Developers and Web Developers to implement the desired computer systems
  • Completing evaluations of hardware and software
  • Giving advice about required IT infrastructure
  • Training users on how to appropriately utilize the developed computer systems
  • Writing instruction manuals for systems
  • Testing the systems on a regular basis to ensure quality and function
  • Preparing costs and benefits analysis on systems
  • Brainstorming new ways to add more functionality to systems
  • Professionally and courteously answer calls/email messages to address customer needs
  • Understands what SQL is and how it's used to retrieve data, can analyze how the retrieved data is related to requirements, and can effectively summarize analysis into useable recommendations
  • The ability to analyze, model and interpret data using different tools and techniques
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to get a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Able to work independently and with small teams
  • Ten or more years of systems analysis experience
  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a computer-related field of study. Extra business courses or a major in management information systems could also be beneficial areas of study for this career.

  • The ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
  • An adaptable and flexible attitude, allowing them to approach and solve a problem by examining it from different angles
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to collaborate within a team
Preferred
  • Familiarization with USAF hierarchies
  • Background in Aircraft Scheduling
  • Experience with data presentation

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
