**Scope of Work**

This role involves participating in various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, including requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities under agency management's direction. The primary focus is supporting existing .NET applications and actively participating in the SDLC process for the new system. The candidate will collaborate with the System Integrator to ensure effective knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of the solution for a specific module. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining SSRS reports, SSIS ETL packages, supporting SOA integration initiatives, and participating in SDLC activities such as meetings, deliverable verification, and environment configuration.

**Specific Responsibilities:**

As the Lead Developer, you will be expected to:

  • Exhibit strong organizational, proactive, and self-directed skills.
  • Drive the work from requirements to implementation as a self-starter.
  • Demonstrate strong abstract thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Develop and maintain Tableau reports.
  • Assist in designing and developing database architecture, including relational data structures, data marts, data dictionaries, and logical and physical data models.
  • Develop strategies for data acquisition, quality, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Aid in migrating and integrating data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and technologies.
  • Create and maintain custom SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL according to business rules and requirements.
  • Access data stored in various database management systems such as DB2 and SQL Server.
  • Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, business rules execution, and data distribution.
  • Implement data analytics best practices in designing data models, ETL pipelines, and near-real-time data solutions.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts and users to validate requirements.
  • Implement solutions to integrate external data with in-house data.
  • Perform tests and validate data flows and prepare ETL processes according to business requirements.
  • Design and implement data conversion strategies from legacy to new platforms.
  • Perform design validation, reconciliation, and error handling in data load processes.
  • Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL execution to enhance data load performance.
  • Design SSIS packages using data exchange tasks such as file transfer and secured file transfer, and import/export files from FTP/SFTP.
  • Participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data mapping, data extraction, data loading, data testing, troubleshooting, documentation, performance optimization, and maintenance.
  • Develop various reports using Tableau based on user requirements and deploy them to the report server/integrated SharePoint report server.
  • Use dynamic grouping fields, dynamic group sorting, on-demand sub-reports, drill-down and summary reports, and create crosstab reports highlighting key summary information.

**Required Skills and Experience:**
  • 10+ years of prior experience demonstrating knowledge and skills in:
  • 5+ years of experience with Tableau.
  • 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • 5+ years of expertise with TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend.
  • Experience in debugging and improving query performance.
  • Experience deploying SSIS packages using git check-in, setting up environmental variables, and creating respective jobs in SQL Agent.
  • Desired experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures.
  • Experience in creating, deploying, and maintaining Talend reports.
  • Experience with code control/version Team Foundation.
  • Strong problem-solving, cross-functional analysis, and forward-thinking abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

**Additional Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with MuleSoft.
