Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer (C, C++, or C# / Control Systems) to support the development of semiconductor manufacturing solutions in Chelmsford, MA. Brooks provides automation solutions for chip manufacturing globally. Among many technological areas, we design and build precision robots and systems for wafer handling.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications for atmospheric and vacuum systems.
  • Develop new system level control software, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software solutions.
  • Design algorithms, write codes, complete programming, develop and execute testing and debugging routines, and document work and results.
  • May function as a project engineer/technical leader, responsible for project plans, schedules, technical presentations and cross functional issue resolution.

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of software development experience, or Master's with 2+ years, or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of C, C++ or C# programming experience for electro-mechanical / control systems.
  • Related coursework, experience or research in controls, and/or dynamic systems, or robotics.

Desired Skills
  • Python development experience.
  • Competency in the use of dynamic signal analyzers and general lab equipment.
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn complex systems quickly and work independently.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
