SUMMARY:

This position is to add value to the company s bottom line by managing all materials used at a complex including all aspects of that usage. This position is responsible for scheduling production of products by evaluating reports to determine the amount of work-in-process WIP product that needs to be brought in to meet the schedule needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain supply ingredient and material inventory control Supply Chain Logistics for inbound and outbound materials
  • Manage the procurement of goods and services Provide all required information to other departments
  • Plan and maintain operational budget Maintain and input required data into SAP BOM MMG that relate to materials purchase
  • Receipt and material issues Minimize or eliminate variances Arrange personnel that manage the inventories Establish and maintain stocking levels
  • Maintain visibility and the ability to report and track freight expenses
  • Arrange for and schedule freight coordinate shipments with inventory management production scheduling plant maintenance needs an economic order quantity.
  • Maintain business relationships with suppliers. Order materials quantities that meet production needs manage the Purchase to Pay process organize coordinate track and sometimes manage projects
  • Plan and maintain operational budgets
  • Cooperate and support all Corporate Purchasing policies and coordinate with all levels of management
  • Work on a daily basis to improve cost and pounds produced Track and review all inbound loads
  • Evaluate new products and discuss new processes and coordinate priorities time frames changes and product testing with corporate
  • Review bird sizes trim percents and quality problems
  • Monitor inventory levels of all raw meat and ingredients ordering as needed Ensure all products are run within the agreed code date specifications
  • Ensure all shipping locations get accurate shipping instructions
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree in Business Economics Accounting and or Logistics preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics, shipping and receiving, scheduling, inventory preferred

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Tyson business computer systems SAP, MMG, BOM, and PPS

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills

Supervisory: Supervisory experience, this person will manage a team of up to 20 team members

Travel: 1-6 plus trips year
