Spreader Roll Manager

Working location: Ruston, Louisiana, USA

General Description

This position is responsible for scheduling and overseeing the daily operation of the Spreader Roll Department to meet customer delivery expectations while ensuring safety, product quality, and production efficiency of the department. Candidate should possess excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Computer skills as well as organizational skills are required.
  • Effective communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Manages, directs, and controls activities for all manufacturing personnel in the department.
  • Schedules all production activities for the department.
  • Ensure that all parts, supplies, tools and documents necessary for production are on hand.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and ASE personnel to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Participate in bi-weekly production meetings to report status of production goals.
  • Communicates the schedule and current lead times to customer service personnel & ASE's
  • Implement & and maintain a crosstraining matrix for department personnel.
  • Works with leadership team to ensure personnel are properly evaluated.
  • Ensure the SPI and industry standards are met for all rolls.
  • Responsible for reporting issues or concerns to the Plant Manager.
  • Enforce and administer all safety rules. This includes participating in a monthly walk through of the department to document and correct any issues.
  • Responsible for meeting monthly budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience (manufacturing preferred). Supervisory experience is required.
  • Languages: English
