The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing methods and processes to produce company products. This role combines leadership and hands-on execution, requiring high maturity, self-direction, and in-depth technical expertise to ensure the safety, quality, and reliability of manufacturing operations. Additionally, the Senior Process Engineer will mentor and coach junior team members, manage project portfolios, and actively engage in cross-functional collaboration.

This position reports to the Senior Process Engineering Manager and is part of the Process Engineering team located in Carlsbad, CA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Streamlining and optimizing processes with a focus on safety, quality, waste reduction, cost improvement, and capacity enhancements.
• Investigating and resolving manufacturing problems including field quality issues, customer complaints, process yield concerns, and other production challenges.
• Executing and overseeing validations and engineering changes to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Leading and directly contributing to project portfolios for cost savings and process improvements, including supplier changes.
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers to build technical expertise and foster growth within the team.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in risk management, validations, and engineering change processes within the regulated medical devices industry.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Leading cross-functional projects and building consensus among stakeholders.
• Project Management experience.
• Strong statistical background with tools like Minitab or JMP.
• Expertise in technical drawings, mechanical assembly, and electrical engineering concepts.

The salary range for this role is $120k to $135k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
