Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will support the finance team by preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and from the office, while still being part of a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Review and analyze accounts for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare financial statements and reports to support internal and external audits
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [specific software] is a plus)
