Job Summary:

To provide professional skills in the field of psychology involving assessment, diagnosis, intervention, consultation, and supervision at UT Health Services. Work is performed under usual clinical conditions and requires a high degree of contact with patients, other mental health and medical personnel, and the campus community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' psychological functioning and make treatment recommendations, including referrals to health or other professional agencies when appropriate.
  • Provide individual, couples and group psychotherapy/counseling.
  • Conduct clinical interviews, administer psychological screenings as indicated, and recommend psychological testing as needed.
  • Provide consultation within CAPS and with medical staff at Health Services as well as the campus community.
  • Supervision of doctoral interns.
  • Assist with campus education, outreach, or screening programs related to mental health topics. Participate in staff development trainings.
  • Documentation and clinical record keeping.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD or PsyD with major course work in clinical or counseling psychology with Two (2) years of experience in professional clinical work or the equivalent experience.
  • Consider Provisionally Licensed Psychologists.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two plus (2+) years of professional clinical experience.
  • Licensure in Texas as a Psychologist.
