We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - React/ReactNative for a key position within People Technology organization to deliver associate centric people experiences.

We are embracing Open-Source technology using React-Native, React.js to build mobile and web experiences and cloud native backend services using Java and GraphQL. In our team, you will work with talented engineers across our platforms including mobile engineers, backend service engineers, UX Designers and product managers to shape our road map for mobile and web experiences to delight our users.

What you'll do...

  • Design solutions such that the processes/applications work in tandem for specific components/modules of a product. Evaluate trade-offs while designing a component based on the business requirements. Assist in conversion of HLD (High Level Design) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes and detailed functional logic of the modules for specific modules/components of a product.
  • Select appropriate frameworks, platforms, and environments for software coding/configuration and scripting. Guide the team on coding patterns, languages, and frameworks in line with evolving trends in the industry (Ex: reactive vs. imperative etc.) and drive scalability and security.
  • Support ad-hoc reviews of software code to ensure baseline mitigations for known risks. Create/configure minimalistic code for entire product/system and ensure the product is meeting business requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs. Oversee the codes executed by team in line with specified technical/business requirements.
  • Select appropriate frameworks, platforms, and environments for software coding/configuration and scripting. Guide the team on coding patterns, languages, and frameworks in line with evolving trends in the industry (Ex: reactive vs. imperative etc.) and drive scalability and security. Drive implementation of telemetry features by determining data/metrics requirement within the domain
  • Support ad-hoc reviews of software code to ensure baseline mitigations for known risks. Create/configure minimalistic code for entire product/system and ensure the product is meeting business requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs. Oversee the codes executed by team in line with specified technical/business requirements. Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements.
  • Drive creation of scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), testing or any other process across the domain. Conduct code reviews for code developed by the team. Drive security of the Code Base and ensure that no security violations are introduced.
  • Translate customer requirements into test strategy. Determine the testing tools (E.g. - Automation - Selenium, Agile - Jira, Mobile - Eggplant etc.), domains, environments, and test types to be employed to achieve testing objectives. Select, introduce, and implement various tools for testing. Identify scope and method of testing for each requirement. Ensure that the test cases cover all the test scenarios (E.g., for functionality, performance, security, integration, data migration and accessibility) for the product/solution requirements. Drive execution of test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire product.
  • Explore relevant products/solutions from an existing repertoire, which can address business/technical needs. Assess gaps/updates/modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions (in case of agile methodology, for the iteration). Classify the requirements into applicable types (for example - Functional/Non-Functional, Derived/Imposed/Emergent etc.), anticipate the solution risks/issues during requirements gathering phase, inform relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective steps. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (for agile methodology)
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of the projects against approved milestones and timelines. Provide inputs to relevant stakeholders regarding schedule progress, health, issues/risks, and key dependencies. Provide inputs to relevant stakeholder for creation of project plans. Ensure adherence to the CICD process as per identified schedule.
  • Track and analyze defects for the component/module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects. Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
  • Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics; Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis. Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
  • Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; develop and communicate business plans and priorities; remove barriers and obstacles that impact performance; provide resources; identify performance standards; measure progress and adjust performance; accordingly, develop contingency plans; and demonstrate adaptability and support continuous learning.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establish performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; provide recognition and rewards; coach for success and improvement; and ensure diversity awareness.
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy
  • Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consult with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; solicit, evaluate, and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participate in and support community outreach events.

What you'll bring...
  • 8+ years of experience in architecting and developing mobile & web applications.
  • Strong expertise in front-end architecture, distributed systems, scalability, design patterns, disaster recovery, detailed design coding standards and guidelines
  • Strong expertise in frontend development using React, ReactNative and Redux
  • Strong expertise in frameworks like Cocoa, Android application framework, etc. and platforms like Apple iOS, Android, Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Quality, Safety and Security (PCI etc.) standards, emerging tools and technologies, telemetry, CI/CD, Code Management Tools and SDLC
  • Strong expertise in integrating analytics, crashlytics and profiling mobile and web apps.
  • Strong expertise in architecting automation frameworks for testing mobile and web applications.
  • Solid understanding of GraphQL and REST APIs
  • Clear Communication, including the ability to create functional charts.
  • Ability to multitask between several different requirements and features concurrently.
  • Experience with cloud native technology
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to perform in a team environment.
  • Have a true passion about Technology. It's a must!
  • Nice to have Backend experience either Java or nodeJs development.
  • Experience in Azure cloud architecture and deployments and strong understanding of cloud technology, including - Azure Offerings, Cloud storage, Cloud security, Cloud migration.
  • Industry experience in developing components for mobile applications or cloud native backend PaaS

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
