Job Description
* A successful Directory Services Administrator candidate will have:
o A solid understanding of client/server, networking and internet fundamentals
o A solid understanding of Windows server 2012 or Higher
o A solid understanding of Active Directory Administration
o A solid understanding of GPOs, Account management, domains and trusts, DNS, DHCP and server management
o A strong understanding of powershell scripting
o A solid understanding of Active Directory Domains and Trusts
o Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
* The ideal candidate will have:
o Experience with a hybrid environment that contains on-prem and cloud servers
o Extensive working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Windows server deployment
o A strong troubleshooting background with the ability to assist with troubleshooting complex problems and issues with little to no supervision.
o Group Policy Administrator (GPA) understanding
o Experience with STIG and patching compliance
o Experience with managing an Enterprise Level Environment
o Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
o Azure cloud environment experience
o Strong mentorship skills
Key Tasks and Responsibilities From PWS/SOW
* Server management to include deployment, management of security posture, and verifying core services
* Account management to include group, permissions, and basic configuration
* GPO Management using NetIQ Group Policy Administrator(GPA) and native tools
* RSAT tool experience
* DNS record management
* DHCP Server configuration and management
* Patching and DISA STIGing server to maintain required compliance
* Sites and services management
* Remedy ticketing system
* Manage servers in VMWare virtual environments
* Troubleshooting core services to include replication and domain trusts
* Powershell Script deployment and creation
Education & Experience
* Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience in:
o Microsoft Winders Server 2012 Server or higher deployment
o Domain Controller deployment, configuration and management
o Account management using Active directory on-prem and Azure cloud environments
o Server management to include Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
Certifications
* Required
o Security+, or other qualifying IAT II certification.
o Microsoft AZ-104: Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure within 120 days.
Security Clearance
* Desired
o Active Secret Clearance
* Required
o Applicants must have eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
