Temporary Employee - Co-op Worker

Our laboratory focuses on cancer therapeutics with this special emphasis on melanoma. We are looking for an intern who has laboratory experience and is willing to work 20 hours per week. The intern will be supervised by a postdoctoral fellow and we'll have guidance from other postdoctoral fellows and technicians in the laboratory. The intern will meet with the principal investigator Dr. Amaravadi once a week to gauge progress. The job duties involve cell culture, western blotting, cell viability assays, microscopy, and assistance with animal studies. Careful notetaking and laboratory maintenance will also be part of the job. The laboratory can offer $10 per hour during a six month period. In addition, the laboratory will provide advanced training in multiple techniquesand concepts, career development, and presentation opportunities.
