Job Description Summary
The Linguistic Data Consortium is seeking a Temporary Business Office Assistant to provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the department. The Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC) is an open consortium of universities, libraries, corporations and government research laboratories. LDC was formed in 1992 to address the critical data shortage then facing language technology research and development.
Job Description
Duties:
Provide administrative support: answer telephones and take messages, assist
office visitors, update and/or supply information, distribute mail and
packages, hand carry mail, maintain files, maintain office and kitchen supplies
inventory; correspondence, and other similar duties upon request.
Flexible work hours: 15-20 hrs/week. Hiring for regular business hours (Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm)

Qualifications:
High School degree with 1 to 3 years of experience required. Administrative support experience or in related areas. Basic Skills: clerical or customer service experience required. Microsoft Word and Excel experience a plus. Must be reliable.
