1. Coordinate and facilitate youth development programming in Play Zone
• Create and facilitate themed curriculum that meets participant's age-appropriate developmental skills.
• Provide customers with a monthly calendar of curriculum
• Provide opportunities for participants to help in planning themed curriculum
• Actively engage with participants in games, activities, and conversations
• Ensure that participants are following program rules for physical and emotional safety for themselves and others
• Complete occurrence reports as deemed necessary and report the occurrence to Program Manager
• Communicate with parents and guardians daily - creating relationships and open lines of communication in regard to their child's experience in Play Zone.
• Distribute and collect any necessary paperwork or notifications to parents and guardians
• Responds to member suggestions and inquiries for program improvements.
• Schedule Play Zone staff to ensure program is open and successful
• Collect accurate supply inventory and report supply needs to Program Manager
2. Demonstrate competence in the tasks associated with compliance
• Ensure that all participants are signed in and out of the program properly
• Continuously assess the safety of indoor and outdoor spaces and equipment and report any issues with equipment, facility, or behavior to Program Manager.
• Ensure that the program meets state current Infection Control Plan ratios and regulation
• Accurately track customer usage and report to Program Manager
• Working schedule program hours weekly to ensure Play Zone shifts are properly covered
Qualifications
Experience Minimum Required
o One year experience in planning, organizing and facilitating events and programs of all sizes and ages.
o One-year childcare experience
Experience Preferred/Desired
o One-year Early Childhood education
Education Minimum Required
o High School Diploma or equivalent
Education Preferred/Desired
o Courses in childhood education or recreation
Training Preferred/Desired
o Conflict Resolution Training
Special Skills Minimum Required
o Must have exemplary interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Licensure and/or Certifications Required
o CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
Licensure and/or Certifications Preferred/Desired
o First Aid Trained
